words that contain the “Ar/ar” sound. Students also practiced their spelling
words in preparation for the spelling test on May 31.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Math: Today, students used 2D shapes to construct a
picture of themselves. Students used circles, squares, rectangles and triangles
to make their picture.
Unit of Inquiry: Today students finished viewing the movie
“Inside Out.” Students discussed the feeling of “Fear.” Students talked about
some of the things that cause them to feel scared or afraid. We realized that
many of us share some of the same fears. However, we also discovered that some
of the things we are afraid of, such as snakes or spiders, may be exciting or
interesting to others. Our class also talked about how sometimes we are afraid
when something is unknown or unfamiliar.
