Arts Night Rehearsal: Today, students rehearsed their song “It’s a
Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood.” Here is a link of the song that students
are performing on May 17.
Unit of Inquiry: Today, students read a book called “Ish.” In
this book, students discussed how their pictures and drawings do not have to
look exactly like real-life objects. They also discussed how to convey feelings
through abstract art. The colours they choose and the lines that they use can
express different emotions. Students worked on an art project that will be on
display at Arts Night.
Math: Today students were introduced to the measurement of weight. Students discussed how to compare objects that are heavier or lighter. Students completed an activity to practice making estimates and taking accurate measurements.
