Calendar: Today’s calendar was led by Ronan. Great job Ronan!

Phonics: Today, students reviewed the "er" sound and were introduced to the “Ar/ar” sound,
letters, and song. Armaan completed his Show and Share. Thank you for bringing in an item with your assigned sound! Students watched a video called “Geraldine learns the ar/
sound.” After this, students brainstormed a list of words that contain the
“Ar/ar” sound.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Math: Today, students reviewed some of the 2D shapes and
their characteristics. Students talked about how many sides and corners are in
each shape. Students completed an activity to identify shapes they see in the
classroom.
Unit of Inquiry: Today students were introduced to the feeling
of “disgust.” Students read a book called “Smelly Socks” and discussed things
that cause them to feel disgusted. Students will be viewing the movie “Inside
Out” to bring together several of the feelings and ideas we have been exploring
in this unit.
