Project taking place TOMORROW.
Calendar: Today’s calendar was led by Veda. Great job Veda!
Phonics: Today,
students were introduced to the “J/j” sound, letter, and song. Students watched
a video called “Geraldine the Giraffe learns the /j/ sound.” After this, students
brainstormed a list of words that contain the “J/j” sound.

Spelling: Today,
students practiced writing their spelling words for this month.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Math: Today, students were
introduced to different strategies for subtraction. Students completed an
activity that involved creating their own subtraction stories. Students used
words, numbers, and pictures to record their subtraction stories.
Unit of Inquiry: Today, students read a
book called “Ada Twist, Scientist.” We have several students in our class who
are interested in being scientists when they grow up. However, from our story
today, we discussed how each of us can be a scientist by researching and asking
questions each and every day.
