Phonics: Today,
students reviewed the “ai” sound, letters, and song. Students completed a
worksheet to practice building and printing words that contain the “ai” sound.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Math: Today, students continued
learning about subtraction. Students practiced completing subtraction sentences
using the “Cross-Out” Method, as well as sentences that just contained numbers.
Students practiced recognized subtraction sentences that are written
vertically.
Unit of Inquiry: Today, students focused
on doctors as community helpers. Students completed a cut-and-paste activity,
as well as an art activity to show what tools a doctor uses to help people in
the community. Students also learned about how some of these tools are used such
as a stethoscope being used to listen to a heartbeat.
