Good evening,
Calendar: Today’s calendar was led by Neel. Great job Neel!
Phonics: Today, the students reviewed the “H/h” sound,
actions and songs. Students brainstormed words with the “H/h” sound, and
completed a worksheet to identify words with the “H/h” sound.
French: Please see Mlle. Jessica’s blog for more information.
Journals: Today students created lists of “H/h” words in
their journals.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Math: Today students discussed the words “same”
and “different.” They used this understanding to classify animals in multiple
ways as a class. For example, the students sorted animals that were “Tall” and “Small.”
They also sorted animals based on different characteristics or where the
animals lived.
Unit of Inquiry: Students identified different
signs of Fall/Autumn. They drew pictures to represent these different signs of
the current season.
