Phonics: Today, students reviewed their spelling words for
the test on May 31st. Students practiced writing the words, as well
as spelling the words aloud.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Unit of Inquiry: Today, students started their collage project
for our unit about different feelings. Students were provided with some
magazines and newspapers in order to cut out words and pictures for their
collages. If you have any extra magazines or newspapers at home that can be
used, please send to school tomorrow.
Math: Today, students were introduced to 3D shapes.
Students identified 3D shapes including a cube, a sphere, a cylinder, a cone, a
pyramid, a rectangular prism, and a triangular prism. Students completed a
Castle Detectives activity, and practiced colouring the 3D shapes according to
the colour legend provided.
