contain the “V/v” sound.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Math: Today, students began
learning about Place Value. Students recognized that when we have several
objects, it takes a lot of time to count by 1s. Students practiced creating
groups of 10 to make counting more efficient. Students completed an acitivity
that involved creating groups of 10 and including the remainders as 1s in order
to represent two digit numbers.
Unit of Inquiry: Today, students
demonstrated their prior knowledge about the order of the planets in our solar
system. Students discussed how the planets closer to the Sun are hot, and how
the planets are cold further away from the Sun. Students are becoming familiar
with the names of the planets.
