Calendar: Today’s calendar was led by Krish. Great job Krish!
Phonics: Today, students reviewed
the “Qu/qu” sound, letters, and song. Students sculpted and designed words and
objects that contain the “Qu/qu” sound.

Journals: Today, students wrote
journal entries starting with the prompt “My favourite ice cream is _____
because _____ .” Students are expanding their ideas in their writing, and
exploring how they can provide an explanation or reasoning to help the reader’s
understanding.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Math: Today, students began
estimating different lengths when having an object for comparison. For example,
when given five snapcubes, students practiced finding objects that are shorter,
longer, or the same length as the snapcube train.
Unit of Inquiry: Today, students created a
Spring Tree through a rip and glue activity. Students coloured the trunk and
branches of the tree. Next, they used paper to create blossoms on the tree.
