Day 120

Phonics: Today, students reviewed the “Ch/ch” sound, letters, and song. After this Ronan, Diyya, and Veer completed their Show and Share. Thank you for bringing in an item with your assigned sound!





Lunch/ Recess 1

Reading Buddies: Students were excited to have a visit from their Reading Buddies and to spend time reading together.








Spelling Test: Students did a great job completing their spelling tests today. Students are beginning to recognize more sight words that they have practiced through their spelling tests.

Math: Today, students were introduced to the quarter, and practiced counting by 25s. Students completed an activity to practice counting how many cents they have in quarters, as well as drawing the correct number of quarters to represent a certain amount of money.

Good evening,

Calendar: Today’s calendar was led by Armaan. Great job Armaan!


IB Learner Profile: Today students read a story and completed a writing activity about "Caring" which is the attribute of the month. Students showed a lot of critical thinking and compassion in this activity.





French: Please see Mlle Jessica’s blog for more information.

Art: Today, students completed an Easter craft by colouring and painting eggs. Students had a lot of fun during this hands-on activity.



















Lunch/ Recess 1

Math: Today, students reviewed the dime, and practiced counting by 10s. Students completed an activity to practice counting how many cents they have in dimes, as well as drawing the correct number of dimes to represent a certain amount of money. Students also compared the dime to the penny and nickel (size, colour, value).

Unit of Inquiry: Today, students completed the written component of their Summative Project. Students are creating five sentences to be included in their presentations on Friday, April 6th. Students have now selected their planet and can begin working on the model of their planet at home.

Story: Students read a book called "The Missing Piece" they really enjoyed the illustrations, and took an important message from this book.
