French: Please see
Mlle Jessica’s blog for more information.
Phonics: Today,
students were introduced to the Long “U/u” sound. Students watched a video
called “Geraldine learns the /u_e/ sound.” After this, students brainstormed
words that contain the “U/u” sound.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Math: Today, students practiced
some of the addition strategies that we have been learning so far. Students
also practiced adding by counting on from the bigger number. For example, in
the question 2 + 9, students would count 2 more from 9, rather than counting 9
more from 2.
Unit of Inquiry: Today, students read a
story called “The Berenstain Bears Meet Santa Bear.” This story emphasized the
importance of focusing on giving rather than receiving at Christmas. Students
discussed different opportunities that they have to give to or help others
during this season.
Lunch/ Recess 2
Gym: Please see Ms. Jans’ blog
for more information.

Have a wonderful evening!!
