Calendar: Today’s calendar was led by Ronan. Great job Ronan!
Phonics: Today,
students reviewed the Long “O/o” sound, action, and song. Students watched a
video called “Geraldine the Giraffe learns /o_e/.” After this, students completed
an activity to practice identifying words that contain the Long “O/o” sound.

Writing: Today, students
completed a sentence about one of their favourite winter activities. Students
drew pictures and used words to demonstrate a favourite winter activity.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Math: Students practiced using
counters to create addition statements. They also were introduced to how
addition sentences can be written vertically, or horizontally. Students also
practiced drawing counters when given an addition sentence.
Unit of Inquiry: Today, students
completed the first step in an art activity. They used green paint to create a
Christmas Pine Tree. We will be decorated these trees tomorrow.
