Monthly Assembly and House
Game: This
month, students were recognized for demonstrating the Caring IB Learner
Profile. Congratulations to Veer who received the Caring Award this month.
Calendar: Today’s calendar was led by Izyan. Great job Izyan!

Phonics: Today, students were
introduced to the “Sh/sh” sound, letters, and song. Students watched a video
called “Geraldine learns the /sh/ sound.” After this, students brainstormed a
list of words that contain the “sh” sound.
Lunch/ Recess 1
Unit of Inquiry: Today, students completed
a picture of the solar system at the end of our unit. Students demonstrated a
growing understanding of the planets, stars, and objects in our solar system.
Great work!
Math: Today, students reviewed
the quarter, and practiced counting by 25s. Students completed an activity to
practice counting how many cents they have in quarters, as well as drawing the
correct number of quarters to represent a certain amount of money.
